Miss. Fatima Khurshid
Experience & Activities
Ms. Fatima Khurshid is a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist, Lecturer, and Program Coordinator (MLT) with expertise in clinical sciences, medical education, and molecular diagnostics. She earned her B.Sc (Hons) in Medical Laboratory Technology from Shalamar Medical & Dental College/UHS in 2021, achieving multiple distinctions and medals in UHS professional examinations.
She completed her M.Phil in Molecular Pathology and Genomics from Forman Christian College University in 2024 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of Punjab.
Her professional experience includes serving as a Clinical Demonstrator and Lecturer & Research Officer at Hussain College of Health Sciences for three years, and currently as a Lecturer and Program Coordinator of the MLT program at CMH Lahore Medical College & IOD, where she teaches, mentors, and supervises undergraduate students while also coordinating academic and curricular activities.
Her research interests focus on infectious diseases, hematology, microbiology, and molecular pathology. She has authored multiple national and international publications and contributed a book chapter in “Novel Diagnostic Methods in Clinical Microbiology” (2025).
In addition to her research, she is actively engaged in peer reviewing for international journals, including Monaldi Archives of Chest Disease, Open Journal of Epidemiology, and Medicine. She is also a Global Outreach Member of the American Society of Microbiology (ASM), highlighting her international scientific engagement.
Through her expertise in teaching, clinical laboratory sciences, molecular diagnostics, and research, she is dedicated to strengthening healthcare education, advancing diagnostic innovation, and promoting evidence-based laboratory practices at both national and international levels.
