Experience & Activities

Dr. Maham Jawad is a highly accomplished registered Dietitian and Critical Care Nutritionist, currently serving as Chief Dietitian at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Lahore. She has extensive experience in the management of enteral and parenteral nutrition, ICU feeding protocols, and dietary interventions in surgical, medical, and critical care units.
She graduated with distinction in Doctor of Dietetics and Nutritional Sciences (DDNS) from the University of Lahore in 2022, securing a Gold Medal.
She further completed her M.Phil. in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the same institution in 2024, again earning a Gold Medal.
She is presently a PhD Scholar in Human Nutrition, where her research focuses on exploring novel bioactive phytochemicals with potential clinical applications aimed at improving health outcomes and advancing evidence-based nutrition practice.
She is serving in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore since 2022.
Before assuming her current role, she worked as Coordinator and Project Officer at the Office of Distance Learning, Strategic Project Management Office (SPMO) at the University of Lahore, where she played an active role in advancing academic quality, developing online learning modules, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in health education.
She completed a one-year clinical training at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Lahore in 2021–2022.
She undertook her house job at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore in 2021.
She also gained clinical training experience at the University Institute Lahore Teaching Hospital in 2021.
She has also participated in UN Hult Prize Winning from regional level till Semi Finals in Malaysia under Food for Change Campaign.
Dr. Maham has completed specialized training as a Critical Care Nutritionist (ASN Certified) and holds professional certifications from prestigious institutions including Harvard University, Stanford University, Indus Hospital, and the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF).
She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (ADA), British Nutrition Foundation (BNF), Pakistan Food and Nutrition Organization (PFNO) and the Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists (PSFST).
She remains actively engaged in academic mentorship, clinical supervision, and public health awareness, and frequently participates in public speaking sessions, seminars, and institutional workshops aimed at promoting evidence-based nutrition and community health education.
She is also the Co-founder of the GO! GROW! GLOW! Initiative, under which she designed and implemented school and community nutrition programs, including School Lunch Box, Maternal Health & Nutrition, and Food Deception Projects, promoting balanced diet practices among children and mothers.
She regularly conducts training sessions, capacity-building workshops, and interactive learning programs for dietetic interns and healthcare professionals.
She has several research publications to her name, having authored and co-authored papers in peer-reviewed national journals with a focus on therapeutic diets, chronic disease management, nutraceuticals, and functional foods. Her published work includes articles in the Biomedical Sciences Journal Pakistan, and several manuscripts are currently in progress for publication in reputed international journals.
She has delivered lectures and training sessions on clinical and community nutrition at several institutions, including Lahore Garrison Academy, the Pakistan Society of Family Physicians (PSFP), the University of Lahore, and the Combined Military Hospital, Lahore, addressing medical students, nursing cadets, healthcare assistants, and hospital staff, with a focus on integrating nutrition knowledge into clinical practice and patient care
