Sara Sonum is a committed and passionate professional in the field of optometry, with both academic and clinical expertise. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Lahore in 2021, where she developed a strong foundation in eye health, vision sciences, and patient care. Driven by a keen interest in advanced research and academic growth, she pursued her MPhil in Optometry from the University of Faisalabad, graduating in 2023.

After completing her postgraduate studies, Sara began her professional journey at Life Hospital, where she served as a Senior Optometrist and Coordinator from January 2023 to August 2024. During her time there, she was responsible for managing complex clinical cases, supervising junior staff, and coordinating patient care services. Her role required both clinical precision and leadership, which she fulfilled with dedication.

In August 2024, she transitioned into academia by joining Superior University as a Lecturer, Entrepreneur Program Coach, and Research Supervisor. In this multifaceted role, she not only taught core optometry courses but also mentored students in entrepreneurship and guided them through their research projects. Her involvement in curriculum development and student coaching demonstrated her ability to bridge practical knowledge with academic theory.

Since February 2025, Sara has been serving as a Lecturer at CMH, where she continues to share her knowledge and experience with undergraduate students. Her teaching approach focuses on integrating real-world clinical insights with academic concepts, helping students become well-rounded professionals in the field of optometry.

With a strong background in clinical practice, teaching, research supervision, and student mentorship, Sara Sonum is dedicated to advancing the field of optometry through education, innovation, and compassionate care.
